Select Board approves $3.7 million 2026 budget and advances warrant articles

NH CANTERBURY — Canterbury Select Board advances 2026 budget at $3.7 million, a 6.8 percent increase over 2025. Chair Scott Doherty and members Beth Blair and Calvin Todd approved multiple warrant articles for voters, including a $170,000 transfer station packer truck replacement and a $20,000 waste oil heating system for the highway garage. The board unanimously approved an amended NH Safety Grant of $12,508.75 to fund police speed monitoring equipment.
Community Power rates will increase starting February 2026, with Community Power options ranging from 14.663 to 14.942 cents per kilowatt-hour.
