Board Approves Fire Engine Payment, Defers Library HVAC Decision

NH CANTERBURY — Canterbury Board of Selectmen approves appropriations and defers HVAC decision. Chair Scott Doherty, Selectwoman Beth Blair, and Selectman Calvin Todd unanimously approved accounts payable manifests of $440,000 for a fire engine delivered Friday, $41,619 for highway department expenses, and $58,632.69 in payroll by roll call vote. The board appointed Keith Brown to the Energy Committee and designated Building Inspector Joel French as Health Officer.
The board declined an electricity provider proposal from Neighborhood Energy, citing the town's existing commitment to Community Power. The Library's HVAC replacement decision was deferred to July 31 to allow Director Rachel Baker to obtain additional bids for mini-split heating system installation.
