Planning Board shelves cluster development ordinance revision
Planning Board · Meeting of August 25, 2026
NH CANTERBURY — Canterbury Planning Board shelves subdivision ordinance revision. The Board deferred rewriting its Cluster Subdivision Ordinance after Earney Mayo of Silver Creek Development, LLC presented a preconceptual plan for an eight-lot subdivision on the Rural portion of a split-zone property at 22 Abberton Road, with eventual expansion to twelve lots on the Agricultural portion following a five-year waiting period. Board members, notably absent Chair Brendan O'Donnell, identified zoning conflicts in how split-zone lots should be classified and whether they qualify for cluster development status.
The Board voted unanimously to table the ordinance revision pending discussion with all members present.
