Selectmen Approve $4.18 Million Property Tax Warrant

NH CANTERBURY — Board of Selectmen approves $4.18 million property tax warrant and new policies. Chair Scott Doherty and members Beth Blair and Calvin Todd adopted the Fraud and Corruption Prevention Policy and the Town Officials Resignation Policy, and approved a tax abatement for the property at 188 Southwest Road destroyed by fire on April 6. The board also approved interfund transfers of $7,000 for public safety revolving funds and $248,902 for highway equipment purchases.
A slide-in water tank for dirt road maintenance increased in cost from an original $18,000 estimate to $21,900, with the board approving use of $3,900 from restricted highway funds to cover the difference.
