Select Board Approves Garden Club Landscaping Project
Select Board · Meeting of May 19, 2026
NH CANTERBURY — Select Board approves Garden Club landscaping initiative at Municipal Complex. Donna Miller and Vanessa Crofton presented the volunteer-driven project, which would plant native species while modifying mowing practices to support pollinators. Professional estimates placed the cost at approximately $9,000, but most plants will come as donations from Garden Club members, reducing taxpayer expense and Highway Department labor costs.
The board also resolved a timber harvest tax dispute with property owner Mike McGill, who will pay $7,746.70 on an agreed assessed value of $84,466.90 after challenging the original $8,041.86 bill.
