Community Power pursues solar owner outreach for renewable certificates

NH CANTERBURY — Canterbury Community Power pursues recruitment of solar residents for renewable energy certificates. Chair Tim Meeh and members, with Board of Selectmen observer Beth Blair, approved July minutes and discussed how to reach residents with solar net metering. The committee is developing simplified explanations of the complex CPCNH renewable energy certificate contract and plans to ask the Select Board about a reserve fund for municipal solar expansion.
Energy Audits Unlimited consultant Paul Button provided six background documents on REC registration. The committee confirmed a "Bring Your Own Bill" program at the farmers market September 23 and noted upcoming energy efficiency and battery programs. Next meeting is September 9.
