Board of Adjustment grants special exception for Magoon sign

misc · Meeting of June 3, 2026

NH CANTERBURY — Canterbury Board of Adjustment approves commercial Route 106 sign exception. The Board of Adjustment unanimously granted Brian Magoon a special exception on March 25 to install a freestanding, 5-by-10-foot sign on Route 106, Tax Map 226, Lot 2, a commercial-zone parcel. The white-and-orange sign would be positioned ten feet high and fifty feet from the road center line, serving as both advertising and a business location marker.

Sean O'Brien moved to grant the exception, noting that signage is typical for the commercial area. Chairman Jim Wieck clarified the approval is good for the property indefinitely.
