NH CANTERBURY — The Historic District Commission voted to place a fifth HVAC unit at Elkins Public Library in the garden rather than on the west wall facing the parking lot, aiming to preserve the town center's aesthetic character. Kevin Bragg, Chair, Vanessa Crofton, and Ted West voted in favor; Calvin Todd abstained. The placement will allow the town to route interior lines either up the north wall of the Children's Room or around the exterior, potentially saving money by avoiding downspout diversion, though the Select Board must still approve cost implications.
