NH CANTERBURY — Canterbury Cemetery Trustees allocated $2,000 for tree removal and cleanup at three cemetery sites. Chair John Goegel, with Trustees Jan Cote and Sam Papps, hired contractor Brian Magoon to remove dead wood at Center, Shell Meetinghouse, and Maple Grove Cemeteries, a project the board designated a priority for the year. An additional $1,000 was committed for work on a large maple tree blocking access.
The Trustees agreed to provide tall pine trees from Maple Grove to the Canterbury Tricentennial Committee for building a Carriage Shed, contingent on written request, liability waiver, and debris cleanup responsibility.
